Views in Amirim

In Amirim, there are two scenic viewpoints overlooking a breathtaking view of the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights, and the Lower Galilee.

  • "Mitzpe Menachem" (Menachem Viewpoint): Located at the end of the upper street of the village, it is named after the late Menachem Kashtan, a pilot born in Amirim who fell in the Yom Kippur War. At the site, there is a airplane-shaped monument as well as a special rock serving as a memorial stone.
  • "Mitzpe Kinneret" (Kinneret Viewpoint): Named after the late Yitzhak Rabin, located at the end of the street leading from the entrance of the village. Every year during July and August, on Friday late afternoons, "Sunset Concerts" take place at this viewpoint—a special experience combining sitting on the grass with a stunning view and excellent music.
